AN IRATE REF, DAN MIRAGLIOTTA RESPONDS TO MEDIA/FAN CLAIMS OF FIGHT FIXING AND A CBS’ AGENDA

Big Dan was excellent as always. The ref, who was in there for 4-of-5 televised fights, reacts to critics saying the Kimbo-Thompson stoppage was “controversial.”

He also explained exactly what Scott Smith said after the Robbie Lawler eye poker and why the fight was stopped. He claimed Smith also had a broken foot.

Miragliotta threw in a nugget about Phil Baroni. He said Baroni’s entrance was a profane disaster. Dan’s young kids were ringside and had to listen to the “New York Ass” grab his groin and talk about his c*ck and f*cking.

Dan’s a big dude at 6-foot-4, 296 lbs. Thank god, he’s the only ref who could probably take a face slap from James Thompson and shrug it off (Herb Dean probably could too). Big Dan said Thompson had no idea where he was when the fight against Kimbo was stopped. He thought he was still fighting when he pushed the ref in the face. He said the same went for the “New York Ass,” who was grabbing Big Dan’s leg as the fight was stopped.

As for the fight fixing claims and CBS’ agenda in stopping the Lawler-Smith fight early, Miragliotta called major bullsh*t.
