EVIL EMPIRE II FLEECES DUMBEST GM IN MLB HISTORY

Anyone notice the bitching about the Yankee payroll has stopped in Beantown?

For years the Red Sox couldn’t beat’em so why not join’em? Boston’s ownership finally caught on to the fact that no one gives a rat’s ass about budget excuses. Not when you’re in a top 10 market with oodles of cash. Boston has tapped into several new revenue sources and now John Henry & Co. are swimming in money.

They employ a simple plan that I’ve always espoused on the air, spend money to make money!

The Red Sox continued with their raping of MLB losers like Florida, Cleveland, Arizona, Seattle and now Texas. Through a combo of FA signings and rip off deals Boston has added Manny Ramirez, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Jason Varitek, David Ortiz, J.D. Drew, Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell for cash & Hanley Ramirez, Heath Slocumb and Brandon Lyon.

Theo has now found a new village idiot to fleece each year in fantasy baseball champ Jon Daniels, the Rangers GM.

Eric Gagne was coveted by 5-6 teams and Daniels couldn’t even grab one of the Red Sox top 10 prospects in the deal. This stinks of “buy low, sell high” roto workings. Kason Gabbard gets off to a nice start and Daniels can’t wait to grab him. Before you get all pissed think about the deals Daniels has swung in the last 2+ years.

He’s traded:

Eric Gagne, Francisco Cordero, Chris Young, Alfonso Soriano, Adrian Gonzalez & Mark Texieira

For (still has):

Akinori Otsuka, Nelson Cruz, Kason Gabbard, J-Salt & Elvis Andrus
