McFedries is the story of this event.

The Miletich camper has endured ridiculous hardship since his last fight in June. He spent major time laid up, in the hospital and at home, after serious complications from a staph infection. Then tragically in late December, his mother was found murdered in Davenport, Iowa.

Three weeks removed from his mom’s death, McFedries is fighting on live television for UFC. He declined to speak about his mother but he did cover the severity of the infection and talked about the Miletich Camp. Some at Miletich may be irked with Matt Hughes, but McFedries is a Hughes devotee.

Mike Swick battle Burkman in his first fight at 170 pounds. He comes from a camp, AKA in San Jose, that features the best crew of welterweights in the world…Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck and Jake Shields.

All great interviews. It’s crazy the stuff you ask Burkman without putting him on the defensive. I’m going to have a heck of a time picking Swick/Mcfedries, they both sound as serious as I’ve ever heard them.
