THE FEMALE DOUBLE-STANDARD
The Mika Brzezinski v. Penn Jillette video got me thinking…is it a simple matter that women have no sense of humor? Or they just can’t take what they dish out?
Jillette tells a story on MSNBC where he used term “bitch” in talking about Hillary Clinton. Watch the vid, Mika is beside herself and doesn’t hear Penn’s message.
It’s odd how men can be called names, ridiculed and abused on TV and advertisements. Women are off limits.
Doing a simple internet search, “men are stupid commercials,” I was shocked to find that there’s quite a bit of outrage out there. Men are fighting back. Here’s a ton of stories covering the online and radio movement.
The sad part is that most of the commercials are funny and ultimately most guys don’t give a rat’s ass. But since women never want to be the butt of a joke, let’s ruin the world with them.
HOW MANY COMMERCIALS CAN WE FIND WHERE MEN ARE IDIOTS OR IT’S FINE TO KICK THE SH*T OUT THEM!! CLICK ON PICTURE OR VIDEO TO WATCH.

Here are the Fidelity Commercials that had men’s groups protesting the ad agency…
Acting under the pressure of an advertising watchdog group, Men for the Fair Portrayal of Men and Food, the DoJ warned food manufacturers to stop making commercials that depict men and food.
Batholomew Gigot, a spokesmen for MFPMF, stated: “In virtually every commercial that depicts men and food, the men invariably look stupid.” He cited AM-PM, Dolly Madison doughnuts, Carl’s Jr., and Doritos as some of the prime offenders. “Men in commercials with food talk like children, act stupid, and cannot control themselves in the presence of women.”
HERE ARE MEN’S RIGHT WEBSITES..
Glen Sacks, a talk show host and blogger has really been at the forefront of the effort. He targeted ad agency Arnold Worldwide and tries to persuade Volve from awarding AW with a recent $150 million contract
Arnold Worldwide did five commercials for Fidelity, four of which mock men and fathers. (The other one, featuring aging rock star Rick Derringer, is neutral and well-done). Arnold Worldwide says:
“Put simply, our work speaks the truth. It always comes out of the truth of the brand and connects with consumers in ways that we’ve found ring true with them.”
Portraying men and fathers as idiots is “the truth”?
PODS got many complaints about a commercials aired during a PGA Tournament in early 2007. The company did respond by pulling the ad.
“Dear Sir or Madam:
“I am in receipt of the comments you recently provided regarding our television commercial. Upon further consideration of the spot, and with the feelings of our customers as well as the general public in mind, I have decided to pull it from its rotation and no longer air it.
“While the commercial was created to be lighthearted and comical, I am sensitive to the fact that we have failed in that it has proven offensive to some people. This was never our intent and I am truly sorry for any discomfort or unpleasantness it has caused.
“Thank you for taking the time to bring your concerns to us.

President & CEO”
