CANSECO HITS ROCK BOTTOM

Jose is one step away from the poor house. This from SportsByBrooks.com…

Dan Gross of the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS punches up news that the former MLB slugger-slash-offending author is looking for a fight. He & his promoter already have a date & place set – July 12 in Atlantic City. Now all they need is an opponent.

So, what’s it worth to someone willing to go a few rounds with Jose?

About $5,000. Canseco may even thrown in a signed copy of either “Juiced” on “Vindicated” – but not both. That’ll hurt book sales.

Those interested in stepping into the ring with Jose should forward along their name, address, phone, trunk size & choice of corner water (Evian, Arrowhead, tap) to fightcanseco@aol.com.

GREAT JOB BY SPORTSRADIO’S ETHICAL EXPERT

Jay Mariotti came off as a clown on the recent CostasNow piece on sportsradio and “guy talk.”

Thank god the traditional media is here to save the audience from “mean-spirited, negative, knee jerk” talk.

Here is a great list of Mariotti stories since late April…

Like most what you say about the gas prices in the U.S. Have a question for you. I am from south LA. and know for a fact during the “gas crunch ” in the 70s they were tapping off”closeing” producing wells in the gulf. Talked to a friend over the weekend (wish could use hes name) that is high up in the oil field market. He told me they once again capping off wells. will be less then 1/2 the wells and jobs open in the next 2 years. And there is enough oil stored in just the salt mines in La. to produce enough gas and oil products for the US 50 years. Then they would just have to uncap only 20 wells in the gulf and have all restored and still cover the US in less then one year. We need to get something done about this. Love the show try to listen everyday as my job allows.
